Vintage E.A Berg Eskilstuna Sweden Shoemaker's English style pliers.

these are not often very commonly found pliers by E.A Berg, the English counterpart of the prized swedish pliers used in the continental Europe.

medium size, their unique and distinctive shaped handle leverage, the design is high and it falls down, this is a good thing for lasting toe puff and counter heel where the allowance is much shorter and doesn't need to be strongly stretched also with the very prominent and large square shaped hammer for hammering and sitting the allowance beetwen the hold fast and nails, as well for making glued or nailed construction.

This example is slightly bit heavier (just by a few grams) than the other advertised pliers (same catalog Plier).

it has a beautiful and nice aging patina/blemish.

barely or no hinge play, very sturdy bolt patent design, good teeth condition (tiny chip on the tip but does not interfere with its ability to pull leather), slightly hammer worn (faded marks), early pre war 1950 and manufacturer name stamp.

tool is cleaned, oiled and ready to use for shoemakers, bookmakers or collectors.
