Professional Shoemaker’s Last Working Base

I have always envisioned creating the ultimate last-making stand for last makers and shoemakers. During the design process, I studied the sanding and last-making benches used by renowned last manufacturers including Formificio Romagnolo in Italy, Fagus-GreCon Fagus Shoe Lasts factory in Germany, Spring Line in the UK, as well as JianFa last factory in China. Their equipment and craftsmanship gave me valuable inspiration and design direction.

Originally, the stand was planned to be made from solid beech wood. However, local craftsmen were either extremely expensive or unable to achieve the standard I was looking for. In the end, I decided to create a steel last-making stand that could serve shoemakers for a lifetime — a tool durable enough to be passed down through generations.

And so, the Titan Last Making Steel Stand was born.

This last Making stand is a purpose-built tool designed to provide maximum stability and control during last modification, rasping, and repair work. Whether refining shape or making structural adjustments, it ensures accuracy and efficiency at every stage.

Constructed from heavy-duty steel, the stand offers outstanding rigidity and long-term durability, capable of withstanding intensive workshop use without deformation. The ergonomically contoured form supports the natural profile of the last, allowing improved access and control during rasping, sanding, and shaping operations.

The top working area features a Replaceable last support pad, allowing the Cobblers to interchange between wood or EVA materials depending on the task.
A wooden pad provides firm, stable support for aggressive shaping, while the EVA option offers cushioning to protect the last surface during more delicate work. This flexibility allows for greater precision and adaptability across different working methods.

The stand securely holds the last in position while still allowing smooth repositioning when required. Its stable base can be mounted directly onto a workbench, making it a reliable and integrated part of any professional shoemaking setup.

多年以来，我始终有一个想法——为鞋楦制作者与鞋匠们打造一款真正优秀的磨楦台。
它不仅仅是一件工具，更应该是一件能够陪伴鞋匠长期工作的“作品”；一件足够稳定、坚固，并且真正理解鞋楦制作工艺的专业设备。

在设计与构思过程中，我查阅并研究了许多世界知名楦厂的工作设备与磨楦系统，其中包括意大利的 Formificio Romagnolo、德国的 Fagus-GreCon Fagus Shoe Lasts、英国的 Spring Line，以及中国的建发 JianFa 楦厂。
从这些优秀楦厂的设备结构与制作理念中，我获得了许多启发，也逐渐明确了自己心中理想磨楦台的方向。

最初，我计划采用传统榉木来制作这款磨楦台。
因为在我心里，传统木质工具始终带有一种温度与工艺感，它们承载着欧洲老鞋匠工作室的气息，也代表着传统制楦工艺的美学。

但真正进入制作阶段后，我遇到了现实的问题。
本地能够胜任这类高精度木工制作的工匠非常难找，要么报价过高，要么无法达到我对结构、稳定性与细节的要求。

于是，我开始重新思考：

为什么不打造一款更加坚固、更加耐久，并且真正能够陪伴鞋匠一生的磨楦台？

最终，我决定放弃传统木结构，转而采用全钢结构设计。
我希望它不仅是一张工作台，更是一件可以长期使用、甚至能够代代传承的鞋匠工具。

于是，Titan Last Making Steel Stand 诞生了。

它为鞋匠而生。
为塑造优美鞋楦而生。
也为那些真正热爱制鞋工艺、热爱鞋楦艺术的“发烧友”而生。

我相信，真正优秀的工具，不只是帮助工作。
它还能让人更加热爱自己的工艺。
